How does CurioKeep work?

CurioKeep helps you remember the perfect gift by storing memories about your loved ones. Simply add people you care about, save memories (notes and/or photos), and let our AI analyze them to understand preferences. When you need gift ideas, our AI generates personalized recommendations based on all your memories.

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Free tier: Track 1 loved one, generate 1 gift recommendation per month, and get 5 AI hint analyses per month.

Premium tier ($8/month): Unlimited loved ones, 50 gift recommendations per month, and 400 AI hint analyses per month. More features coming soon!

How does AI analysis work?

When you add a hint (text note or photo), our AI analyzes it to extract insights like preferences, sizes, favorite brands, and gift-giving opportunities. This information is automatically saved to your loved one's profile and used to generate better gift recommendations over time.

How are gift recommendations generated?

Our AI uses a combination of your saved memories, the loved one's profile (preferences, sizes, sensitivities, etc. as extracted from the memories), and feedback from past gift ideas to generate personalized recommendations. The system considers upcoming events, seasonal context, and your budget to suggest thoughtful gifts. We also consider the loved one's age and relationship to you when generating recommendations. Loved one's names and actual dates are never used in the recommendations.

Do you earn money from gift recommendations?

Yes, we use Amazon Associates affiliate links. When you click on a gift recommendation and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the service running and improve our features.

Can I use gift recommendations without buying through your links?

Absolutely! Our gift recommendations are suggestions - you can purchase them anywhere you'd like. The affiliate links are just a convenient way to support CurioKeep if you choose to use them.

Is my data private?

Yes! Your data is encrypted and stored securely. We never share your information with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (like AI processing). Importantly:

• We never pass loved one's names or actual dates to our AI. Instead, we use contextual information like "upcoming birthday" or "relationship: spouse" to generate recommendations.
• Our AI provider (OpenAI) does not use your data for training. Data sent through their API is not used to train their models, and conversations are not saved for training purposes.

What happens if I delete my account?

When you delete your account, we permanently remove all your data including loved ones, memories, gift ideas, and uploaded files. This action is irreversible. We keep only anonymized legal records (like Terms of Service acceptance) as required by law. See our Privacy Policy for the full deletion process.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. From your Settings page, click "Manage Subscription" to access your Stripe customer portal where you can cancel your subscription. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you'll continue to have Premium access until then.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're not satisfied with Premium, please contact us at support@curiokeep.app and we'll work with you to resolve any issues.
